The online halaqa is a great atmosphere to be part of - the teachers and special halaqas wrapped with qasidas and duas for all attendees is like no other halaqa that one could possibly sit in. For those of us who can't unfortunately travel to the class for whatever reason the online halaqa is a great tool and in no ways does it feel like your sitting away from the teacher as those online are very much involved in the live dars (class).
I've been following the Book of Assistance classes since December 2006 and the very notion that you can cover a beautiful book with a teacher (Shaykh AbdulAziz Ahmad) who knows the book inside out is really beneficial not only to ones learning and understanding but also to ones practical implementation of what has been learnt.
I would highly recommend all students of knowledge and those just starting on the path of Islam to join the halaqa and benefit from the teachings of the Shayukh.

By Allah's mercy on His creations this halaqa is a blessing for people yearning to acquire the sacred knowledge but have limited or no opportunities.

I have found the halaqa service to be invaluable in providing free, comprehensive knowledge from traditional scholars linked to the Prophet (SAW) and providing spiritual uplift by reminding us of our true purpose in life.
It is particularly useful for mothers and those who cannot travel.
Shaykh Abdul-Aziz's teaching style is such that we are forced to think, analyze and understand what he is teaching.
I believe the key to this is that they are all live sessions in which questions and input are encouraged and welcomed.
I applaud the Halaqa for awakening me from my vegetative state.
