The Book of Assistance
Taught by
Shaykh Abdul Aziz Ahmed and
Shaykh Jamal Ud-Deen Hysaw
There are many books in English which present Sufi doctrine, but few which
can be used as practical travel guides along the Path. Originally written in
Classical Arabic by Imam Abdullah Ibn-Alawi al-Haddad, the aptly-named Book of
Assistance is today in widespread use among Sufi teachers in Arabia, Indonesia
and East Africa.
The link below shows the readable translation of Dr.
Badawi of this manual of devotions, prayers and practical ethics will be
invaluable to all who love the Prophet and the Sufi way.

Taught by
Shaykh Abdul Aziz Ahmed &
Shaykh Jamal Ud-Deen
Hysaw
This is the first English translation of the last chapter of Al-Ghazali’s
Revival of the Religious Sciences (Ihya’ ‘Ulum al-Din), widely regarded as
the greatest work of Muslim spirituality. After expounding his Sufi
philosophy of death and showing the importance of the contemplation of human
mortality to the mystical way of self-purification, Ghazali takes his
readers through the stages of the future life: the vision of the Angels of
the Grave, the Resurrection, the Intercession of the Prophet, and finally,
the torments of Hell, the delights of Paradise and - for the elect - the
beatific vision of God’s Countenance. For more details

The Glorious Treasure
Taught by
Shaykh Abdul Aziz Ahmed
Al-Dhakirah al-Musharaffa by al-Habib Umar bin Hafidh. The Glorious
Treasure presents the fundamentals of the deen - obligatory upon every
Muslim man and woman - and the appropriate supplications for specific
occasions, as documented by the Sunnah. The text serves as a manual for both
young and old alike; its memorisation is encouraged among children and those
new to the religion and it acts as a reminder for the advanced student. It
is currently taught at Dar Al Mustafa in Tarim and is recommended by Habib
Umar bin Hafidh as the first book to be taught to students of knowledge.
The book is available to purchase here.
