i like the normal version by saad al ghamadi but speeded up if u know what i mean

i heard first the fast version - but now that I heard the slow one seams much better, it goes better with the spirit of being somewhere and being a stranger...

By the way does anyone have the lyric - arabic? That would be nice!

history of ghurabaa...

taking from another forum..don't know wheter its true or not..but here it is

" Strangers...the first time this nasheed was sang was in court in egypt a very rare recording of the mujahid that wrote the poem and sang it infront of the judges who later sentenced him to death..in the mid-80's "

This is a translation of the First Part of Ghurabaa (The strangers/Alien)
It is the speech preceding the "Fast" Ghurabaa and it was Translated by my mother.
Insha'Allah, may Allah be pleased with her work. Ameen.



"Alien" is not one who had left the country
and bade the family farewell,
"Alien" is
One who is Intent,
whilst people around, are trifling.
Awakens,
whilst those around, are sleeping.
Follows the path of goodness and graciousness,
whilst others, in their delusion, are fumbling about.

The poet is truthful as he relates:

A friend said to me, " I see you, an alien, a stranger
amongst these beings, without a friend"
I answered, " Not at all, it is mankind that is strange,
I'm in my world and this is my path... "

This is "the alien", alien to those that are frivolous amongst mankind
but with his Lord he is at a noble station.
